WeatherFit Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect or Use

WeatherFit may use the following information to provide app features.

1.1 City Information Selected by the User

• The city name selected or searched by the user
• The country or region of the selected city
• Recently selected cities

This information is used to retrieve weather information for the selected area and provide outfit recommendations.

1.2 Optional Approximate Location Information

If the user chooses a feature such as “Use Current Location,” WeatherFit may use the device’s approximate location to retrieve local weather information.

• Location use is optional.
• Users can use the app without granting location permission by selecting a city manually.
• WeatherFit does not track location in the background.
• WeatherFit does not use location information for advertising targeting or user tracking.
• WeatherFit does not store movement routes or location history.

1.3 App Settings

WeatherFit may store the following settings locally on the user’s device for convenience.

• Selected language
• Default city
• Outfit preference
• Temperature unit
• Onboarding completion status
• Notification setting status

1.4 Information Used for Weather Requests

WeatherFit may send the selected city name or approximate location coordinates to weather data providers in order to retrieve weather information.

Depending on the app version and configuration, weather data providers may include OpenWeather, Bright Sky, Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD), or other public weather data providers.

1.5 Advertising-Related Information

WeatherFit may use Google AdMob to display bottom banner advertisements in the app. Google AdMob may process information such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location information, and app interaction information for ad delivery, ad measurement, and fraud prevention.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

WeatherFit does not collect the following information.

• Account information such as name, email address, or phone number
• Passwords
• Contacts
• Calendar data
• Photos, videos, or media files
• Camera or microphone data
• Health or medical information
• Body type, illness, or physical condition information
• Continuous precise location tracking data
• Background location data
• User movement routes or location history

3. How We Use Information

WeatherFit uses the information described above for the following purposes.

• To retrieve weather information for a selected city or current location
• To provide outfit recommendations based on temperature, feels-like temperature, rain, wind, humidity, and daily temperature changes
• To save user settings and improve the app experience
• To provide a multilingual user interface
• To display in-app advertisements
• To prevent app errors and provide stable app features

4. How Information Is Stored

Most WeatherFit settings are stored locally on the user’s device. For example, the selected city, language setting, and outfit preference may be stored on the device to improve convenience.

WeatherFit does not operate a separate user account server and does not store user profiles on its own server.

5. Third-Party Services

WeatherFit may use the following third-party services to provide app features.

5.1 Weather Data Providers

The selected city name or approximate location coordinates may be sent to weather data providers to retrieve weather information. This information is used only to provide weather data.

5.2 Google AdMob

WeatherFit may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location information, and app interaction information for ad delivery and measurement.

6. Location Information

WeatherFit requests location permission only when the user explicitly chooses to use a current-location feature. If the user denies location permission, the app can still be used by manually selecting a city.

• WeatherFit does not use background location.
• WeatherFit does not use location information for advertising tracking.
• WeatherFit does not store location history or movement routes.
• Location information is used only to retrieve weather data and provide outfit recommendations.

7. Advertising

WeatherFit is provided as a free app and may display bottom banner advertisements. Advertisements may be served through Google AdMob.

Users can manage personalized advertising settings through their device or Google ad settings. For more information about advertising personalization, please refer to Google’s advertising and privacy settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

WeatherFit is not directed primarily to children. WeatherFit does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child’s personal information has been processed improperly, please contact us using the email address below.

9. Data Deletion

Users can delete locally stored WeatherFit data in the following ways.

• Use the “Reset App Data” feature in the app settings
• Delete WeatherFit app data through device settings
• Uninstall the WeatherFit app

When the app is uninstalled, locally stored WeatherFit settings are also deleted from the device.

10. Security

WeatherFit is designed to avoid collecting unnecessary personal information and to use only the minimum information needed to provide app features. However, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. WeatherFit therefore does not request unnecessary sensitive information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated due to changes in app features, legal requirements, or third-party services. If changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
